ADAM’S MID YEAR SUMMARY

For my first year of doing this, I couldn’t have asked for a better time to start.

At the beginning of the year, looking at the slate of movies ahead, I would never have guessed how this would have turned out.

My Top Five are not ones I would have initially picked to be there before viewing.

5 of them are all personally Epic rated movies.

5 of them are some type of drama.

3 of them I never intended to see.

2 of them star Hugh Jackman.

2 of them are Biopics.

1 is about sheep 😂

The Biographical and Comedy categories have ruled the first six months. But the horror genre has probably had the most surprising impact.

There have been a few stinkers like The Bride, The Secret Agent, or The Mandalorian & Grogu but I still enjoyed going to and reviewing them. They weren’t exactly terrible, they were just…meh. None of the films I have seen so far have been terrible. No, wait, there was Scary Movie.

Below is how I rate movies:

10 = Pure Masterpiece

9’s = Masterpiece

8’s = Epic

7’s = Great

6’s = Good

5’s = Average

Anything below that is garbage, don’t waste your time type thing.

So my idea of a top movie is anything with a 7 or above rating.

They go from Great to Epic so far, no Masterpieces yet. I Swear comes close and I may very well raise my rating upon rewatches. Maybe The Odyssey will hit that mark later in the year? Fingers crossed…..

If I rate a film 6.5-6.9 I may recommend.
