HIGHLIGHTS
Power Ballad exceeded my med-high expectations beating Disclosure Day for my expected film of the month.
The other two films from my top 3 were on my “maybe I’ll watch” list. So glad I did. The Christophers was a delightful work of art. The Death of Robin Hood still haunts me, in a good way.
Pleasantly surprised by Islands which I never intended on seeing. I have never had a film subvert my expectations like this one. I thought I knew what was going to happen, it almost seemed obvious. Then it all gets turned on its head.
Catching up with recent horror films I had missed. After seeing Backrooms I needed more. Hokum was great. Obsession is just chefs kiss.
DISSAPOINTMENTS
Scary Movie was by far my biggest disappointment. It was so bad.
Disclosure Day wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t great. I reluctantly rated it a 7. I expected too much. Didn’t even make my top 3 for the month.
I didn’t get to see Supergirl because I was sick but it sounds so average anyway. A lot of people say they like but don’t love it, and that’s not a good enough a reason for me to go to the cinema.
I have seen none of the Toy Story Films. I tried to watch them so I could go see the fifth one but I just didn’t have the time.
