COUNTDOWN TO DOOMSDAY
If you are 1 of the 5 people who have visited my website, you may have noticed the Doomsday menu option.
Now I don’t know if you are a film buff or not but there is this little thing called the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) lol.
With Avengers: Doomsday releasing December 18th this year, the biggest and most accessible movie marathon is ready to kick off leading up to it. 39 movies mostly available on Disney+.
I have set it up to watch 1 movie a week starting Monday 23rd March with Captain America: The First Avenger starting the countdown. The following week starting Monday the 30th of March is Captain Marvel. The next week Iron Man and so on and so forth in chronological order. I have only seen the films in release order so watching them in their timeline order will be a different experience.
I have put off watching any of them for some time as I knew I would be doing this so it will be refreshing to see them again. I ain’t seen some of them like the Captain Marvel ones. I can’t remember some, like the first two Thor films and Eternals. Some I’ll just have on in the background while doing other things, cough cough, Captain America: Brave New World.
So while in reality we are seemingly heading towards our own doomsday, it might just be nice to watch an alternate reality where the good guys always win in the end, no matter the hardships they face.
If you don’t want to do it this year, come back in March 2027, for Countdown to Avengers: Secret Wars, while we go through World War 3, it’s all very fitting for the times lol.
