2026 - The Year of Anne Hathaway

Ok so how is this for a movie marathon?

6 x Cinema release movies all starring Anne Hathaway, all in 2026!

I can’t remember seeing her in anything of late but looking ahead she is everywhere.

Her last 14 or so films going back to 2015 only range from average to good but these new films look set to change her trajectory.

This comeback spans across a wide range of genres, from sci-fi and action to comedy and thriller. 

Here are the confirmed and highly anticipated Anne Hathaway movies for 2026: 

Mother Mary (April 16, 2026):

• A24 pop music melodrama directed by David Lowery, in which Hathaway stars as a fictional pop star alongside Michaela Coel and Hunter Schafer.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 (April 30, 2026):

• A sequel to the 2006 hit, featuring the return of Hathaway as Andy Sachs, alongside Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci.

The Odyssey (July 16, 2026):

• A $250M+ epic fantasy action film directed by Christopher Nolan, starring Matt Damon as Odysseus and Hathaway as Penelope.

Flowervale Street (August 13, 2026):

• A 1980s-set sci-fi thriller directed by David Robert Mitchell and starring Hathaway with Ewan McGregor.

Verity (October 1, 2026):

• A psychological thriller based on the Colleen Hoover novel, featuring Hathaway as the titular character, Verity Crawford.

The Princess Diaries 3 (Expected 2026):

• The long-awaited third installment of the franchise, in active development with Hathaway returning as Mia Thermopolis. 

2026 is described as a "career renaissance" for Hathaway, who is also producing several of these projects.
